![]() The mysterious hackers may have distributed the malicious update to more than a million users, according to security firm Kaspersky Lab, which discovered the attack and reported it to Asus in late January. "Asus customer service has been reaching out to affected users and providing assistance to ensure that the security risks are removed," the company said in a press release. On Tuesday, the Taiwanese vendor confirmed that the Asus Live Update software tool was infiltrated by hackers last year to distribute a malicious update.
